This article takes place in the 1930s and Hazel’s father lost his job.Related details that describe her father is that he is slumped.These are three people who lived at this time,Babe Ruth,Lou Gehrig,and Jakie Mitchell.One thing that surprised me was that Jakie Mitchell struck Babe Ruth out.Another thing was that Babe Ruth was one of the greatest baseball players.Timmy Oglethorpe had a nickel to spend at the stadium,but that wuold not buy him a box of Cracker Jacks today.This took place on a baseball field and in Hazel’s and Timmy’s backyard.Boys did not like girls to play with each other.They would not care if the boys and girls played together.

First we were handed a cup filled with mints and we were asked a question and if it applied to you, you had to put the number of pepper mints she told you into the basket. One of the taxes was if you had a pencil on your desk you had to put 3 mints into the basket. Another tax was if you had your hair up you had to put mints in the basket.

I learned that paying taxes can sometimes be difficult to pay.

For Christmas break I got to go to Breckenridge Texas to see my Dad for the week because my Dad got a new job.  We had a blast playing in the icy streets and spending family time with my Dad.  I can’t wait until two weeks because that is when we will meet up to see him in Dallas.  For my birthday on Spring break we will drive to Breckenridge to see him and celebrate my birthday.  At the end of May when school is out we will move up there to live with my Dad.

My goal for 2015 is to plant my own cactus plants. In Breckenridge Texas there are many different types of cactus to observe.  In Breckenridge I will want to grow at least four different types of cactus plants in my back yard.  As a family we can grow cactus to observe and to learn new and different facts about cactus plants.  To me this will be a fun learning experience to grow these plants.

So far my life has been pretty fun. I have kinda got the hang of the schuel but everything else has been great. My favorite subject in fifth grade is science. The teachers are really nice and they make the learning awsome. This is my fifth grade life sofar.

My mom is special because she helps me with my homework. She is also special because everytime I get hurt she is there to pick me right back up. Another way is that she is there when I need her. She also helps with setting up all my parties. My mom also cares for me. She loves me more than anything in the world. I know she loves me with all her heart, and I know she will never forget me.

When a beagle howls it sounds like a loud crying baby.Also when people adopt a beagle they usually get two.If a beagle does not exercise it will gain to much weight and it will move slower.A beagle can usually live 12 to 15 years.
